Workshop on Climate Change coming up in Oslo in March

Come join us!

March 24-26, 2017

Drøbak Biological Station, Oslo, Norway

Some of the former PhDs and PostDocs from the Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change (NorMER) will be hosting a workshop entitled "Beyond climate change research in the Nordic Seas - connecting the dots to reveal the gaps (CODREG)". This is work that started was back in 2011, when we initiated our long-lasting project "Tasty Haystack", a project I will be talking about soon in the blog.

At CODREG, we aim to synthesise available knowledge (Objective 1), and develop a medium-term (next decade) research strategy (Objective 2) for addressing key upcoming challenges for marine ecosystems in the North Atlantic. Specifically, we will build upon the knowledge and interdisciplinary expertise concerning climate change impacts on the Nordic marine ecosystems developed during NorMER.

You can find more information here. If you would like to attend, just drop me a line.

This project is funded by the European Marine Research Network (EuroMarine, funded by the seventh European Framework Programme), a bottom-up organisation to voice the research of the European marine scientific community since 2014. We have been funded to host CODREG on a total amount of 7500€.
