I designed and collected samples on board of the R/V Johan Hjort. I attended courses relating to fish biology and management. I worked on my M.Sc. thesis in Fisheries Biology and Management together with Arild Folkvord and Erling Stenevik. The thesis is entitled "Vertical migration of the Norwegian spring-spawning herring larvae (Clupea harengus L.)". The first 10 months of this fellowship were funded by The Research Council of Norway through the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Portugal.
